A 74-year-old Gilbertsville woman was charged in a hit-and-run car accident on April 27 that claimed the life of Kristy L. Bender, 26, of Royersford. Police say driver Patricia Maurer struck a pedestrian, identified as Bender, who was walking along the 1200 block of South Township Line Road in Upper Providence, according to news reports. An Auburn man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday, May 14, and his family is hoping someone will come forward with information about the hit-and-run driver.
